I’m guessing you’re here because you’re in the market for a new website, and you’re trying to wrap your head around different web designers, what their prices are, and what value they are providing. It can be hard to cut through the jargon and acronyms and understand exactly what you’re getting, and what you should be looking for in a web design proposal.
Here are a few of the things I like to include in each website design project as standard:
Briefing and consultation, in person or over the phone
Ideally I’d love to meet everyone face to face so I can really get to know them and their brand, but this isn’t always possible. The purpose of this consultation is really understand my new client’s brand and business, and what they are looking for with their new website. This in-depth conversation helps me nail my client’s web designs, and why I have so many happy customers.
Facebook pixel installation
A lot of people don’t think about their Facebook pixel until they want to start running Facebook ads, and a Facebook Ads Specialist asks about it. By having this installed from Day One on your website, you’re collecting data about your website visitors and customers immediately.
Resizing images and optimising for web
As you’re probably aware, I’m a big fan of professional photos, but generally these are too large to update directly to your website. Large images can slow your website down, which can affect your customer experience, which affects your bounce rate, which can affect your Google ranking.
Search Engine Optimisation
Even if you don’t want me to write all of the content for your website, I can help you with the basics and make tweaks to your copy to ensure you have the right keywords in the right places.
If you come to me looking to boost your website conversion rates, but just want me to rejig your home page, I’ll take a look and tell you exactly what we need to do in order to help you reach your goals.
